Town of Smithfield Proposed Fire Station 341A George Washington Hwy
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws 45-23-39, 45-23-42, 45-23-45, 45-23-50.1, 45-24-41, and 45-24-46.4, and the Smithfield Land Development and Subdivision Review Regulations, that the Smithfield Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the
date, time, and place stated below to consider and possibly act upon a Combined Master Plan and Preliminary Plan application for a proposed Major Land Development Project, including Unified Development Review for dimensional variance relief. The public hearing will provide an opportunity for public comment. The proposed development may be revised by the Planning Board as a result of further study or because of views expressed at the public hearing.

Dimensional Relief Requested: The applicant seeks dimensional variance relief through Unified Development Review from the side-yard setback requirement for the proposed addition. The Smithfield Zoning Ordinance requires a forty-foot (402 ) side-yard setback. The existing building encroaches fifteen feet (152 ) into the required setback, and the proposed addition would encroach three feet (32 ) into the required setback.
