Residential Limited 13 (RL-13) zones require a 15 foot side yard setback from the property line. The request is for a 2 foot right side setback modification to allow for a 13 foot setback for the construction of a covered deck
Section 806 Administrative Modification of the Zoning Ordinance permits a maximum of 15% of the literal dimensional requirements by administrative modification without public hearing. Subsection 3 of section 806 states:
If written objection is received within 14 days, the request for a modification shall be scheduled for the next available hearing before the Zoning Board of Review for an application for a dimensional variance following the standard procedures for such variances. If no written objections are received within 14 days, the Zoning enforcement officer shall grant the modification
Any letters of opposition may be sent to the Zoning Official at 2000 Smith Street, North Providence, RI 02911, no later than March 18th 2026.
