Lincoln Public Schools ADVANCED MAINTENANCE
TECHNICIAN
Lincoln Public Schools is seeking a full-time Advanced Maintenance Technician to
perform journey-level, skilled maintenance, repair and improvement work across
school facilities, systems and equipment. To ensure the school environment is
safe, functional and well-maintained. This role requires experience in multiple
trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and general
building systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical certification or vocational training in one or more trades
(facilities management, HVAC, plumbing or electrical) preferred
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in building/facility maintenance
Valid drivers license; ability to operate maintenance vehicles and equipment
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and
ability to assist tradesmen as needed
Advanced knowledge of tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment
and materials used in general maintenance trades
Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures
and repair techniques
Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals and schematics
Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and time management skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to lift, move or carry objects up to 50 lbs. and perform
physical tasks such as bending, climbing and standing for long period
