Notice is hereby given pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws 45-24-53, and in accordance with the Glocester Home Rule Charter, that a Public Hearing will be held in the Town Council Chambers of the Glocester Town Hall, 1145 Putnam Pike, Glocester, RI on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 7:30 PM.
The purpose of this meeting is to consider a proposed amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance as summarized below.
Nature of the Proposed Amendment
Code of Ordinance, Chapter 350 Zoning. Article IV. Section 22.A. Planned Districts Owner: WS Enterprises, LLC
Applicant: Welcome Pastures
Assessor Plat 18, Lot 10
To consider an amendment to the existing P.U.D. to permit applicant, Welcome Pastures, a non profit, to have private events such as weddings, family gatherings, retreats, and cor- porate events for fundraising. Per the applicant, the revenue generated will directly support the care, rehabilitation and long term well being of retired Thoroughbred horses.
Availability of Information
The proposed application for amendment is available for public inspection and reproduction in the office of the Town Clerk, Town of Glocester, RI, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM. The proposed amendment may be altered prior to the close of the Public Hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the Public Hearing.
All persons interested in the above are respectfully requested to be present at that time and place to be heard thereon.
