NOTICE TO VOTERS
FOR THE NOVEMBER 3, 2026 GENERAL ELECTION
OCTOBER 4, 2026 - is the deadline to register to vote in order to be eligible to vote in the
General Election. [RIGL 17-1-3, 17-1-7, 17-9.1-3].
You may register to vote or update your information at Town Hall with the Board of
Canvassers.
You may also register to vote or update your information online, as well as view your
sample ballot, on the Secretary of States website https://vote.sos.ri.gov/.
Alternatively, the Cumberland Police Department at 1379 Diamond Hill Road
will also receive final voter registrations on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 8:30 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m.
OCTOBER 13, 2026 - 4:00 p.m. is the deadline for voters to apply for a regular mail ballot.
[RIGL 17-20-2.1(c)]. To request a mail ballot online, please visit mailballot.sos.ri.gov.
OCTOBER 13, 2026 - The Board of Canvassers will meet for the purpose of final
canvassing and correcting the voting list for the General Election on Tuesday, October
13, 2026, at 2:00pm at Cumberland Town Hall, Everett Moe Bonner Jr Town Council
Chambers, 45 Broad Street. [RIGL 17-10-5(a)]
OCTOBER 14 NOVEMBER 2, 2026 - Early voting and emergency mail ballot period at
Cumberland Town Hall, 45 Broad Street, Town Council Chambers, 2nd Floor. Hours are
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. No weekends or holidays. On November 2, 2026,
early voting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. [RIGL 17-20-2.2, RIGL 17-20-2.2(a);(b)]
