Hydrant Flushing Public Notification
The Woonsocket Water Division will be performing its Spring Unidirectional Flushing
Program between September 22, 2026, to December 1, 2026. The flushing crews will
start weekly on Tuesday nights beginning at 9.00 PM and continue working until about
6.00 AM on Wednesday.
Phase 1 (September 22 - 29) Bernon Area
Manville Rd, Logee St, Lydia Ave
Mt St Charles Ave, Willow St, Carrington Ave
Bernon St, Hamlet Ave
Transit St, lower Park Ave, Greene St
Phase 2 (October 6 -27) Globe Area
South Main St, Providence
Coe St, Ave A, Ave B, Ave C
Ballou St, Orchard St
Upper South Main Stt
Phase 3 (November 3 - 10) Fairmount Area and Great Rd North Smithfield
Olo St, Second Ave
Mason St, Bourdon Blvd
Fairmount St, Rhodes Ave
Great Road, Woonsocket Hill Rd, Lapre Rd
Phase 4 (November 10 -December 1) Bernon Area
Logee St, Grove St, Cottage St
Knight Street, Carnation St

Smithfield Rd and Greenville Rd North Smithfield
In addition to the main streets listed above, side streets in the areas will also be flushed.
Customers may experience discolored water and lower than normal pressure. If you
experience discolored water, please run your COLD water for a short time to clear the
lines. Store clean water in containers for usage during these hours. We would like to
sincerely thank our customers for their patience and understanding while the flushing
crews are working hard to maintain the citys distribution lines.
