Cumberland, Town of - Town Clerk TOWN OF CUMBERLAND
ELECTION WARRANT - STATEWIDE PRIMARY
WHEREAS, under Title 17 of the General Laws, 1956, as amended WEDNESDAY,
SETEMBER 9, 2026 has been designated as the day for the Statewide Primary.
NOW, THEREFORE, by the provisions of said Laws, the electors residing and
qualified to vote in the Town of Cumberland are hereby warned to assemble on said
Wednesday, the 9th day of September 2026 A.D., between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 8:00
P.M. in the locations designated below to cast in-person ballots:

For the Purpose of Democrat and Republican Primaries to select Party
Candidates for the November 3, 2026 General Election, wherein said Electors
shall:
The Democratic Primary will be voting for US Senator in Congress,
Representative in Congress, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney
General, General Treasurer, Senator in General Assembly District 19 & District 20, and
Representative in General Assembly District 45, District 51, District 52, & District 57.
The Republican Primary will be voting for US Senator in Congress,
Representative in Congress, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and
General Treasurer.
Any voter who has requested a mail ballot and presents themselves at the polling
location on election day will be required to cast a PROVISIONAL ballot.
Mail ballots can be returned directly to the RI Board of Elections in the postage-paid
envelope sent with your ballot, or they may be placed in any OFFICIAL ELECTIONS DROP
BOX in Rhode Island no later than 8:00 PM on September 9, 2026
If you have not applied for a mail ballot, you may vote early at town hall during our
regular business hours from August 20, 2026 until September 8, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
No appointment is necessary. ID is required.

or to find a list of drop boxes, please visit vote.ri.gov or dial 2-1-1.
This notice is given by the undersigned in lieu of posting in public places as provided in
Section 17, Chapter 15 Public Laws of 1956 as amended.
